Kusumal Ruamsook is an assistant research professor at the Center for Supply Chain Research (CSCR). She earned her doctorate at the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA at the University of Missouri–Columbia. Dr. Ruamsook's work has been published in reputable academic journals, including Transportation Journal, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, International Journal of Logistics Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Maritime Economics and Logistics, World Review of Intermodal Transportation Research and EFB Bioeconomy Journal; reputable managerial journals, including Supply Chain Management Review, and CSCMP Supply Chain Xchange (formerly Supply Chain Quarterly); and other forms of publications, including book chapter and conference proceedings.

Dr. Ruamsook has served in the capacity of assistant editor of the Transportation Journal, published by the American Society of Transportation and Logistics (AST&L), during July 2011–December 2015. The Transportation Journal is now published by the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), formerly American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
