Lara joined Smeal in 2009 in the Accounting Department as an Administrative Support Assistant. In 2016, Lara transitioned to the Risk Management Department as the Administrative Support Coordinator.

Lara manages course scheduling for the department, which includes BLAW, IB, REST, and RM courses. She also manages the majority of the administrative duties and oversees the budgeting for the Institute for Real Estate Studies (IRES), the Laboratory for Economics, Management and Auctions (LEMA), and the Center for Global Business Studies (CGBS).
