Wendy Jo Hartsock is the Associate Director of Alumni Relations at the Smeal College of Business, where she drives initiatives that connect and engage Smeal’s network of 92,000+ alumni worldwide. Since joining Smeal in 2018, she has led signature events, programs, and mentoring opportunities that strengthen relationships between alumni, students, and the college.

Wendy Jo oversees the Smeal Alumni Mentoring Program, guiding both undergraduate and graduate students through meaningful connections with experienced professionals. She also supports volunteer engagement, lifelong learning opportunities, alumni awards, and university-wide recognitions.

Prior to Smeal, Wendy Jo spent a decade with the Penn State Alumni Association as Assistant Director of Alumni Events, building impactful programs that fostered pride and connection within the Penn State community.

A proud alumna herself, Wendy Jo earned her dual bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Individual & Family Studies from Penn State. She and her husband, Albert, live in Howard, Pennsylvania, where they enjoy cheering on the Nittany Lions and staying connected to the Penn State family. Wendy jo also serves as the Roar Zone Advisor which is the student section for the Penn State Men's and Women's Hockey Teams.
